ABOUT MIA
I've been where you are.
That's why I do this.
I didn't come to this work through a textbook. I came through the hardest years of my life - and what I found on the other side changed everything.

Hi, I'm Mia. Parenting coach, child therapist,
and recovering perfectionist.
I've been working with children and their families for over a decade. I know what it's like to sit across from a parent who has tried everything, is running on empty, and is quietly terrified that something is fundamentally wrong with them.
It isn't. And I know that - not just professionally, but personally.
MY STORY
I nearly didn't make it through my own first year of parenting.
When my first daughter was born, I was not prepared for what hit me. The birth was traumatic. The postnatal depression was severe. And there were moments - dark, frightening moments - where I was on the brink of familicide. I say that not to shock, but because I know there are parents reading this who have had thoughts they are too ashamed to speak out loud. I see you. I was you.
I read every parenting book I could find, desperately looking for the answer. Most of them contradicted each other. Most of them made me feel worse. A couple were genuinely brilliant - How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk sits at the top of that list - but I was still missing something fundamental.
Then I discovered NLP - neuro-linguistic programming - and something shifted. Not just in how I parented, but in who I was. I started to understand myself differently. I started to regulate. And as I did, everything with my daughter shifted too.
That was the moment I knew what I was supposed to do. I wanted to help other parents get themselves right - not because there was anything wrong with them, but because our children deserve the most present, regulated, connected version of us we can offer. And because nobody should have to find their way through the dark alone.
I spent years working solely with parents. Then I completed my MA in Child and Family Therapy so I could work with the whole family - with trauma, with the nervous system, with the deep relational patterns that shape how we parent and how our children grow.
Everything I teach comes from that journey. The clinical training. The research. And the years of lived experience that no textbook could ever replace.
With calm and presence, Mia
